{"id":798,"date":"2010-11-12T08:29:49","date_gmt":"2010-11-12T08:29:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/blog\/?p=798"},"modified":"2011-05-18T05:51:31","modified_gmt":"2011-05-18T05:51:31","slug":"stormy-weather","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/blog\/index.php\/northumberland\/stormy-weather","title":{"rendered":"Stormy weather"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>November is\u00a0generally a quiet month for NEWT; the half-term rush in late October has come and gone, thoughts are turning to Christmas&#8230;and the weather can be a bit suspect.\u00a0 We had a Safari Day around <strong>Druridge Bay<\/strong> and <strong>Southeast Northumberland<\/strong> at the end of last week that could have succumbed to the elements but, as it turned out, a combination of excellent birdwatching sites that could be watched from the Land Rover, clients with a real interest in natural history (and expertise in wildlife sound recording)and a badger-watching spot where the trees sheltered us from the rain, made it an enjoyable afternoon.\u00a0 The flock of <strong><em>Waxwings<\/em><\/strong> in Ashington delighted yet again.\u00a0 Who could fail to be impressed by them?
