{"id":4824,"date":"2019-07-11T12:21:07","date_gmt":"2019-07-11T11:21:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/blog\/?p=4824"},"modified":"2019-07-11T12:22:04","modified_gmt":"2019-07-11T11:22:04","slug":"subtle-sunset-and-here-come-the-white-beaks-newts-north-sea-pelagic-10-07-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/blog\/index.php\/northumberland\/north-sea\/subtle-sunset-and-here-come-the-white-beaks-newts-north-sea-pelagic-10-07-19","title":{"rendered":"Subtle sunset&#8230;and here come the White-beaks :-) NEWT&#8217;s North Sea Pelagic 10\/07\/19"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a cetacean-free pelagic last Friday I was hopeful that <strong><em>Bottlenose Dolphins<\/em><\/strong> have mainly moved north and <strong><em>White-beaked Dolphins<\/em><\/strong> would be here any day now&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A flock of <strong><em>Common Scoter<\/em><\/strong> off Whitley Bay liftg4d from the water and flew past us, <strong><em>Puffins<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>Common Guillemots<\/em><\/strong> were sitting on the sea, <strong><em>Gannets<\/em><\/strong> soared past and myself and Tim both spotted a large, slow moving fin away to the north.  It looked like a probable <strong><em>Minke Whale<\/em><\/strong>, although we couldn&#8217;t relocate it, but then breaching <strong><em>White-beaked Dolphins<\/em><\/strong> appeared from the north and showed brief interest in the boat \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><li
