{"id":4155,"date":"2017-10-27T12:23:54","date_gmt":"2017-10-27T11:23:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/blog\/?p=4155"},"modified":"2017-10-27T12:23:54","modified_gmt":"2017-10-27T11:23:54","slug":"harrying-otter-mini-safari-261017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/blog\/index.php\/uncategorized\/harrying-otter-mini-safari-261017","title":{"rendered":"Harrying; Otter mini-Safari 26\/10\/17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I collected Jan and Hannah, and Tony and Mary, from Low Newton and we headed south towards <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/experiences\/tour\/12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Druridge Bay<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>In contrast with recent weather we had blue skies, fluffy white clouds and even some sunshine \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 A flock of <em><strong>Whooper Swans<\/strong><\/em> were heading south offshore and the assemblage of waterfowl included <em><strong>Greylag<\/strong> <\/em>and<strong> Canada<\/strong> <em><strong>Geese, Mute Swan,<\/strong><\/em> <em><strong>Pintail, Tufted Duck, Goldeneye, Wigeon, Shoveler, Mallard, Teal<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Gadwall, Moorhen, Coot, Little Grebe<\/strong> <\/em>and two top quality birds; <em><strong>Long-tailed Duck<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Slavonian Grebe<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 In the beautiful low angled light a juvenile <em><strong>Marsh Harrier<\/strong><\/em> looked stunning with a crown of gold.
