{"id":248,"date":"2009-12-01T13:41:47","date_gmt":"2009-12-01T13:41:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/blog\/?p=248"},"modified":"2011-06-22T05:49:29","modified_gmt":"2011-06-22T05:49:29","slug":"out-with-the-old","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/blog\/index.php\/birdwatching\/out-with-the-old","title":{"rendered":"Out with the old&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mceTemp\">OK, it isn&#8217;t 2010 just yet but the <a title=\"NEWT website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\" target=\"_self\">NEWT website<\/a> has been replaced by a new(er) one.<\/div>\n<p>The only big cosmetic change is the blog.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve opted for a contemporary look, and it adds a lot of functionality that we didn&#8217;t have access to previously.\u00a0 Embedding images and video clips is just one of those functions, so we&#8217;re going to make the most of that whenever the opportunity arises.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the last few weeks has been spent at my desk, writing content for the website and checking links etc whenever Daniel has uploaded a new set of changes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_253\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-253\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-253\" title=\"Willow-Tit\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/Willow-Tit2.jpg\" alt=\"The NEWT office window bird\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-253\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The NEWT office window bird<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This means that most of my birdwatching has been focussed on one small section of southeast Northumberland; our back garden with it&#8217;s apple and ash trees, tangles of bramble, &#8216;wild&#8217; allotment and ever-growing selection of bird feeders.\u00a0 <strong><em>Jays<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Great Spotted Woodpeckers<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Bullfinches<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Willow Tits<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Redwings<\/em><\/strong> and\u00a0<strong><em>Fieldfares<\/em><\/strong> have all visited in the last few days and the cold spell we&#8217;re in currently is accelerating the bird visits to\u00a0the garden.\u00a0 I still keep having this dream about <strong><em>Siberian Accentor<\/em><\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OK, it isn&#8217;t 2010 just yet but the NEWT website has been replaced by a new(er) one.
