{"id":1610,"date":"2012-05-03T09:52:03","date_gmt":"2012-05-03T09:52:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/blog\/?p=1610"},"modified":"2012-05-03T04:23:30","modified_gmt":"2012-05-03T04:23:30","slug":"druridge-bay-01052012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/blog\/index.php\/birdwatching\/druridge-bay-01052012","title":{"rendered":"Druridge Bay 01\/05\/2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We often find ourselves,\u00a0usually when we&#8217;re at the British Bird Fair, explaining that Northumberland isn&#8217;t a particularly rainy county, in fact it&#8217;s very much the opposite.\u00a0 It is sometimes\u00a0cold and windy though&#8230;but all you need to do is wrap up warm \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>I collected Philip and Pauline from Outchester and we headed south towards <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northernexperiencewildlifetours.co.uk\/tours.php?id=2\" target=\"_blank\">Druridge Bay<\/a> for a day&#8217;s birdwatching on the coast of southeast Northumberland.\u00a0 A brief search around Woodhorn for the <em><strong>Great Grey Shrike<\/strong><\/em> that had been there until the day before proved fruitless, and we continued to follow the road up the coast.\u00a0 With a bitterly cold northerly wind I guessed where our regular <em><strong>Little Owl<\/strong><\/em> would be sunning itself &#8211;
