Cheviots

We recently had the pleasure of meeting Martin for a wildlife safari around the Northumberland National Park, particularly focusing on grouse. We set out after being picked up at our holiday accomodation and quickly were into our searching mode when Martin spotted whooper swans on Catcleugh reservoir, this set the trend for the outing as Martin spotted birds in numerous locations and several were photographed. At our main destination we found red grouse and although reaching our ultimate destination we didn't get a view of the elusive black. It was however rewarding with many species spotted and identified. I would thoroughly recommend anyone, beginner or experienced to venture out on one of these tours. My wife and myself found Martin enthusiastic, knowledgeable, not only in wildlife but in local history and traditions. An excellently valued outing, with an enjoyable packed lunch and as challenging an itinerary as you wish to make it.
