Read what some of our clients have to say about us and our tours
We had two great days out with Martin, firstly on and around Holy Island where we saw an impressive variety of wading birds and geese, together with large numbers of grey seals; and secondly at several reserves around Druridge Bay. We were able to identify many species we had not seen before, and we benefited enormously from Martin's expert knowledge of bird species, their calls, habitat and patterns of flight, etc. We learned a great deal that will help us to get more out of any birdwatching visits we subsequently make on our own. We look forward to going out with Martin and Northern Experience Wildlife Tours again next year - I strongly recommend them. Mike and Maggie Boyes, Gloucestershire (Lindisfarne 11/10/2011, Druridge Bay 13/10/2011)
We had a fantastic afternoon with Martin. It was great to be with someone who has such intimate knowledge of the wildlife and also the local area. We will always remember watching the seals gradually revealed by the tide at Lindisfarne in the glorious sunshine.
We hope to book another tour soon. Many thanks. Lyndsey McConville and Petter Skramstad, London (Lindisfarne mini safari 26/08/2011)
Really enjoyed the safari. Martin is extremely knowledgeable about many aspects of wildlife and nature. As beginners we learned a lot about identifying various seabirds. Our packed tea was excellent and tasty. To top it all we sighted a beautiful otter for about half an our at the end of our day. We discovered a whole new past time of sitting in hides waiting to see wonderful animals. Chris and Jayne Bolger, Oxfordshire (Otter Safari 03/07/2011)
We all had a fantastic day(the weather helped as well), Martin's knowledge of the local birdlife was very impressive. I particularly liked the Curlew flocks and the passing Gannets spotted off Stag Rocks. We went on to have a fantastic experience on Inner Farne (you were right about wearing a hat), the highlight of which were the huge flocks of Terns, some of which were still incubating while most were frenetically feeding the masses of chicks.
I think that the tour for us really hit the spot, the vehical is comfortable, the free use of the binoculars and your friendly disposition coupled with your knowledge of wildlife is really impressive. I think that we could have prepared ourselves a bit better by bringing along something to drink, perhaps for future tours you may consider providing cold drinks from a coolbox and/or hot drinks from a thermos (for the colder days).
All in all a fantastic day and I would hope that we try a different experience perhaps next year.
Many thanks

We enjoyed our evening with you.It was a lovely experience, to go to different sites and to sit there so late at night and watch the wildlife. We enjoyed it so much, we have since been back to the area and were lucky to see a family of stoats only a few feet away from us. Many thanks. Margaret and Tom. This was a Christmas present from our family. Loved the experience despite the awful weather, and the otter sighting was the icing on the cake!
Martin knows his stuff and loves sharing it in an informative way - we learnt lots.
Might be an idea to take a small blanket to sit on in the hides in cooler weather as the metal seats were really cold - numb bums! The hot soup was much nicer than a cup of tea and more effective in fighting the cold and damp.
Would love to repeat this experience in springtime. Have already recommended the trip to friends and family. Cracking christmas present! Rab and Lesley Cairns , Dumfries (Otter Safari 11/06/2011)
We both really enjoyed the morning's photography, the surroundings were fantastic and the advice spot on. Some great photos were taken (one of them graces my desktop as I type)! It's definitely inspired us to get some better equipment. Steve and Helen, Alnwick (Beginners Photography 17/04/2011)
Many thanks for a superb day on Tuesday. Lovely to see the terns and to have a tutorial in how to tell them apart... It was a revelation to see how much good birdwatching there is in Northumberland. We will return. Nigel and Jane Reynolds, Yorkshire (Otter Safari 14/06/2011)
We all enjoyed our time with you and were especially pleased that the trip 'peaked' with the great views of the otter that had been the reason behind taking Eva out. It was great to also see the Red Squirrel and for me I was pleased to be able to add the White Wagtail and Little Gull to my England list! Jane Stylianou, Cyprus (Otter Safari 31/05/2011)
Thanks so much for looking after us last week – my parents really enjoyed it. To be honest after all our rushing about I think they really appreciated a bit of a slower pace and being able to relax. They drove me mad over the rest of the holiday though – constantly searching about for bladder-wort and speedwell and goodness knows what else! Jude, Wallsend (Lindisfarne mini-safari 26/04/2011)
